Welcome Message

Dear Delegates and Esteemed Faculty,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I am honoured to extend a warm welcome to you to the inaugural conference of the Neurovascular Interventions Society of Indraprastha (NIVSI).

The Society was established in response to the growing need for a dedicated academic forum for neurointerventionists in and around the New Delhi–NCR region. While major conferences offer valuable exposure, the limited number of neurointervention-focused sessions often restricts in-depth discussion. NIVSI was therefore conceived to facilitate regular interaction, focused learning, and meaningful academic exchange among professionals in this specialised field. Under the auspices of this Society, the 8th Annual Meeting of the Society of Neurovascular Interventions was successfully conducted in 2025.

The NIVSI Conference 2026 is scheduled to be held at the Hotel Fortune Park by ITC, East Delhi, Delhi on 27–28 June 2026. This inaugural conference aims to strengthen core competencies in neurointervention, with emphasis on essential topics such as hardware, radiation safety, catheter laboratory practices, and antiplatelet pharmacology. The scientific programme is designed to promote structured training and mentorship for trainees and early-career professionals, disseminate evidence-based advances in diagnostic and therapeutic neurointervention, and provide an academic platform for young neurointerventionists to present challenging cases for expert deliberation.

The programme is being developed with a particular focus on students and professionals at the early stages of their careers. Our distinguished faculty, representing institutions from across India, bring with them a broad spectrum of expertise, and we are sincerely grateful for their commitment to education, mentorship, and professional development.

As a regional neurovascular meeting, we encourage active and thoughtful participation. Delegates are invited to engage in discussions, pose questions, and share complex clinical experiences, fostering an environment of collaborative learning. Such exchanges are essential for advancing knowledge and may often lead to innovative ideas and enduring professional collaborations.

We look forward to your participation and to a successful conference marked by scholarly exchange, insightful discussions, and the establishment of a strong foundation for future NIVSI meetings.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Vikas Gupta
Secretary,
